FYI--Hope your license plate light is working

Village PPPD pulling over numerous people for non-working license plate lamp, then ticketing them for other offenses.  Just had mine repaired recently during a vehicle inspection as I had no idea mine were even burned out.  Something to check and give PPPD one less reason to stop you.

Village Website Still Not Working Properly

The Village of PP website was down for a while and now is stuck in May and before updates.  PPPD log still stuck in Aug 3rd for Aug 2nd dates if you have been trying to access.  Not sure why but the crack IT people must be still trying to figure it out.

Village Closer to Having "Biomedical Innovation Center"

The village’s Community Development Authority would own the building – and the Kenosha Area Business Alliance would run it. Both groups promise to spend $2 million each on the facility. The state is kicking in $70,000. And an application is pending for a federal grant of $3.5 million.

Increase in burglaries in Village--more

From our Police Chief in Pleasant Prairie:

The one thing that I would tell you is that if someone does come to your door, claiming to be looking for a person who doesn’t live there or with some other story that doesn’t make sense – please call us immediately. We will send an officer out to identify the person and have them further explain their reasons for being in the neighborhood.

Village Have Something Up Their Sleeve?

Earlier in the discussions, Pleasant Prairie was pushing Bristol to allow the village to annex about 1,200 acres beyond the permanent boundary outlined in its boundary agreement. The land it proposed to annex included property owned by Abbott Laboratories in Bristol, along with a large area slated for industrial development in the future.

This was to be a $1.2 Billion dollar development.  That's a big chunk of change to loose.

What do you think?
