I want to make sure we utilize environmentally sound practices. I want to see the Village government treat all citizens with respect and listen when they bring concerns.

Quite frankly Mike, it's funny you are calling anyone a hypocrite. This is your blog, and I am impressed you take the time to do it, but it ends there. Tooting the number of hits that can be manipulated and increases with "refreshes" is
Your support of the Kenosha News wavers by subject...and it's humorous. You use their articles when it suits you and don't when they prove your adversaries (yes, you treat the Village admin as such) are doing things right.
You haven't mentioned the U-Line donation as of yet. Is that because it's another example of the aforementioned Village administration doing things well???? It is indeed.
It's of no use for anyone to attempt to appease your thoughts on the Village, as you are set in your negative (wholeheartedly at that) ways.
I responded to your last string of emails. I honestly did this as a courtesy. Whether you appreciate the situation (which I don't think you do), agree with it's handling (which I know you don't), or what have you....it is all irrelevant to me. I know we've (The Orchard) done things as well as anyone could to cooperate with the neighbors and the Village, battled a stacked deck (thanks to Pickus) and I feel we will come away victorious in the end.
I am sure we'll (The Orchard) be bashed at the Board meeting for our final plat. Oh well, everyone needs their villain du jour, and it happens to be The Orchard in cooperation with the Village. So be it.
Although the pool is a great thing, one can just as easily point out that State of Wisconsin gave Uline $6 Million dollars and that the Village has been collecting developer fees for a pool in the past. Taxpayer free? Not so sure.
I'm not narcissitic and constantly refresh so I don't distinguish how or who checks out my blog.
Yes, past Village treatment has tainted mine, and others view on Village politics. So be it. I started this Blog because of their poor treatment of area residents. More of it below.
I don't want to give you the impression I'm against your subdivision. I just thought that the road couldn't handle the construction traffic, along with narrowness and area resident's concerns, and that's why the Village restricted to having all construction traffic go through Pickus' development. With all the restrictions by the Village, you will most likely have to rebuild 28th Avenue.
I still don't understand how prior approved wording isn't clearly addressed at next approval stage? Very confusing to me as to why residents aren't explicitly notified that plans have significantly changed.
I don't understand why some folks don't like you Mike. I think you do a great job as our HOA guy. So you don't agree with the gestapo down at the village. I don't either. What I don't understand is if some folks don't care for your views why do they bother reading them on YOUR blog. Obviously too much time on their hands. Pleasant Prairie is a great place to live and recreate in. As long as you don't disturb the couch potatoes and their strip mall mentality.

That's as ironic as saying, "Get better people skills, you idiot." (not that anyone's an idiot here. point made just to point out the humor in any mouse's post.)
It's both this kind of entertainment value AND the many things I learn here that keep me checking in nearly every day. Great stuff.
