New Garbage Collection

The Village has decided to switch to an automated garbage collection system like they have for recycling. I hope the lids stay down on windy days and that the garbage doesn't blow out when they dump the containers into the garbage trucks. I also see they default you to the most expensive service if you don't fill out and return forms stating otherwise. Maybe they should call each household and find out what they want as we already know how good residents are at seeing, and responding to, Village information. Or perhaps they can review how much garbage they collect at each household for the next few weeks (see next item). Another question, how will they know what service you signed up for when they collect your garbage? Some type of scanning system and computer to say whether someone has unlimited service or not? Should be interesting.

I think I get it now...you just don't like change, unless it's a change YOU thought of.

How will the driver know which trash collection option you chose? Well, how do the cops find your house when you dial 911? There are cool things called "computers" now, and "maps" on those computers.

Patience, Grasshopper, all will be revealed to you in time.

Jeez, you whine more than Alex.

So why doesn't the Village provide this information up front? You must be from the Village since you seem to have the inside track on everything. Glad you get all the information before everyone else. The whole point of this blog is to ask questions and find out information that's not provided to residents. Perhaps you should start your own blog since you seem to know everything.

So you want our taxes to go up because you want all processes, all designs, and all operations to be explained up front? And lose all that productive time? Sorry, pal, that's why we have managers in the Village. They have the skills to design these programs and take responsibility for them...and make their budgets.

Boy, I'd hate to work for a micro-manager like you. I'd rather have the boss that says, "Make it happen", and gives me the AUTHORITY to go with the RESPONSIBILITY. That's called good management...and it's what we have in the Village.

Too bad you can't see it through your micro-management blinders.

Ah yes, that works so well we even let the Federal government do it that way!

Wow...witty comeback. If you'd just THINK about what you're writing before you actually TYPE the words, your position might just come out a little more...coherently.

I don't want the federal government to explain to me how to build an aircraft carrier or a roadway before they do it. I want responsible, talented people that are overseen by my elected representative. If it's not working, we throw the bums out by VOTING them out.

If you don't like how the Village is run, vote in someone you think will do a better job. That's called democracy. What you do on this blog is called whining.

Now we have anonymous whining about the whining. Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Good management eh? Referendum. Where's Abbott? Whining? Since when is asking questions whining? Welcome to democracy! So closed government is all you want with no one questioning anything they do because YOU think they are so competent. 70% of the voters rejected the three referendums because they had so much confidence in Village's decisions? I'm asking simple questions and seeking answers. What's wrong with that? Go read the Village website if all you need is affirmation that of what you claim to know.
