Nice job taking a pot-shot at Howard in the Kenosha Pravda today, Mike. I'm sure it helped him recover from the quadruple bypass surgery he had on Friday.

Nothing like kicking a guy when he's down. But we shouldn't expect positive statements from you, should we?

I wrote and submitted my VOP right after his so I guess he was feeling good enough to say what he did and had the time to write his opinion. Since he and I are such good friends, I guess he forgot to call me and let me know that the stress of his VOP caused him to have open heart surgery. But again, he's supposed to be able to say whatever he wants and take potshots at those who disagree with him but we aren't allowed the same. Nice. Sure hope he didn't watch any of the game.

Nice "Clintonian non-apology". You're saying it's ok to take a shot at him when he's in the hospital. How dare you make fun of someone that just had surgery.

WOW! Mr. Renner, you can't be serious! You need to apologize.

Although no one seeks anything bad for Howard, I think it's only fair to say "how on earth was Mike Renner supposed to know anything about Howard Cooley's medical condition?".

This would be the same as asking how cruel of Howard to criticise the 'opponents' when Mike Renner was thinking about running but then didn't when something bad happened in his life -- fictious, but it could have been the case.

I would not criticise Howard either for not knowing that.

What this does reveal is that whoever is chiming in on these things is an insider and only confirms how inside Cooley is too since personal medical conditions tends to be shared with friends only.

We wish Howard well, but let's face it, he did not think twice about sticking a knife in peoples backs with his mega contributions to derail fair competition.

Best wishes Howard, but Mike Renner deserves no criticism.

Only a jerk tries to make political hay out of this -- and a jerk did!

As I said before, I didn't take a shot at him while he was in the hospital, I wrote mine right after his and know nothing of his personal life. I have no ill will towards him and hope he makes a full recovery. I just didn't agree with his VOP.

Mike should apologize for doing something that he had no knowledge of the condition of the recipient of his comments???

How about this scenario? An elected board member says something derogatory (let's say, "no comprende") about someone who he really does not know what their medical condition is (let's say after falling down on slippery hard tile at a municipal recreation complex). Should this scenario demand an apology too?

Or how about this one. A NATIONAL holiday in which the post office, federal government, state government, and most school districts are CLOSED. A local (let's say, "village" government) does not observe that holiday. In fact they even HAVE AN ELECTED BOARD meeting that night? Does this callous move that insults the dignity of Dr. King and his causes deserve an apology?

Prepare YOUR apologies first.

We're waiting.........
Clyde, village board...are you out there?

This blog...what a great place for the loonies to gather.

If we really thought there were only a few demented souls in Pleasant Prairie, these tasteless defenders of Renner's callousness show that simply saying, "I'm sorry...hope you get better soon" is hard for a LOT of people to say.

Anonymous said...

As Bruce Willis says in Die Hard.."Welcome to the party pal" --loonies gathering place??

YOU are the loonies that are gathering. This blog laments the demise of the Pack. What does Cooley's surgery have to do with that. Do you have nothing better to do than make that connection to his VOP?

Talk about delusional.. If Mike Renner is 'callous' as you say, then you are only proving that you don't understand logic at all.

Mike Renner clearly stated that he wishes Howard no harm, and wishes him a full recovery.

Now, what excuse do you rubes have?

Gee...it seems like a simple "sorry" would have kept the weirdos from frothing at the mouth.

Village People said...

What WORDING in my VOP should I be sorry for? I would think it was a compliment that I considered Mr. Cooley as one of the people who could perform Trustee duties.

Anonymous said...

It's STILL too hard for you to say "sorry"?

Anonymous said...

Love means never having to say you're sorry.

Anonymous said...

Now THAT'S a picture...Mike Renner in love with Howard. We're as likely to see that as we are a picture of Alex and Policoff on Valentine's Day.

Gosh, a quick apology coulda stopped all this junk. Step up, Mike...your better than this.

Village People said...

The only thing that would have stopped all these comments was the first anonymous poster.

JUNK is right
MIKE IS BETTER THAN THIS is right.
And all SHAME and BLAME is with first anonymous poster is right.

Still making excuses for not apologizing, I see.

Your true self shines through.

Anonymous said...

He has done nothing wrong so why apologize.

Anonymous said...

What, it's his fault the Packers lost? You're confusing him with the wrong Mike.

Anonymous said...

Wow, Renner is being compared by the opposition to a two-term President and to a possible future two-term President. Way to go. You get my write in vote for Trustee!

Did you see the VOP today? Some guy picking on Milly Ivens who dies January 31st. Where's the outcry?

Anonymous said...

You mean...Molly Ivans is going to die next week? You dope...you can't even read a calendar. You should apologize to your 1st grade teacher for flunking her class.

Anonymous said...

That's it!
Mike Rennar, apologize for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius that covered Pompeii with lava.
You scoundrel!
And if you don't, I (anonymously) will never post a comment on your blog again!

Anonymous said...

Another dope...Pompeii wasn't covered in lava...it was covered in volcanic ash. If it had been lava, everything would have been burned away. The ash is what preserved what's there today.

Apologize to your high-school geography teacher for flunking that class.

Molly Ivens died January 31st, 2007; did the person say next week? Who's the dope now?

Dear Mikey:

Look at the post...the person used the present tense of die..."dies". Using "dies" as a past participle (instead of "died") is a no-no.

Go apologize to your high-school English teacher...you flunked.

Dope.

Dear Snakesinmyplane: Even a high school teacher could figure that one out. Dies and died are one letter off and the d and s are right next to each other on the keyboard. Maybe you should have asked if they meant died before you went off on them.
