Well, dummy, go to the meeting and find out.

I would say, contrary to your thoughts on the subject, something IS happening in terms of development. They (Abbott) are obviously still planning a facility of some sort in Pleasant Prairie...urgency should show us that.

I think you two need to go back a few blogs. Abbott denies anything is happening; are you calling them liars?

I don't need to go back to anything. I'm saying your media outlet (the ever popular Kenosha News) isn't very reputable for the truth. Unless you heard it straight from the corporate mouth (and that isn't a clincher either....ask Tri-Clover or American Motors workers...oops, there aren't any left) anything is possible.

Are you insisting Abbott is coming to a meeting regarding their cooperation with the Village for no reason???? That thought process is a bit obtuse.

Where does it say anything about Abbott being at the meeting? Why would you be privy to unpublished information?

Once again Rennart puts the "I" in village Idiot!

Better the Village idiot that anonymous that isn't so anonymous after all, are you? Gave yourself away again, Jr.

Was Abbott there and if so, what occurred and how was the public to know?

I just heard it on the radio. Abbott's plan has been approved. Next step is allegedly for Abbott to announce a schedule.

Renner's the Village idiot, eh? John Roscioli wasn't at meetings, so why did he know that Abbott was going to be there? Is he getting information that the public isn't privy to?

I'm not privy to anything. I saw the blurb, made a couple calls....presto. It's not rocket science.

Mike might be wrong on Abbott's move (or it may turn out he's right), but that doesn't make anyone an idiot. Pessimistic, yes...idiot, not necessarily.

Nice backhanded compliment. The original question was, "What's the rush?" If there is nothing specific, then why have special meetings that require additional staff time?

Obviously I have much to learn. Please don't fault me for wanting to learn.

But I assume that there's a reason for not putting "Abbott" in the meeting notice? Is there some rule or law that I should be aware of? i.e. (just a devil's advocate type question here) What good is a meeting notice if we can't tell what it means?

Just trying to learn, I'm not implying anything negative on the Village.

OBTW, congrats to Abbott and the Village for being one step closer.

Hey clied,

1) It wasn't complimentary, it was stating the obvious. Just because I think Mike leans towards the glass being half empty doesn't make anyone an idiot. I've told Mike I think the opposite actually.

2)Mike had asked me to go back a few blogs, I referenced that. I'd think if the Village receives a call from Abbott, they are gonna jump...this is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Just because someone who's employed by Abbott (or anyone), doesn't necessarily equate to their knowledge regarding planning.

Like Renner couldn't make a few phone calls too just like you? He may know more than you think.
