Anti-Bloggers

I find it ironic that those who find this and other blogs problematic are the same ones who write in their opinions anonymously or even at all. Why do they seek these out? What is the purpose of a blog to them? I for one think that blogs are a great way to communicate and put out information for others to see. Whether they agree or not is a whole other issue. At least the blog is there for everyone to see and not whispered in some backroom or private phone calls. Which do the anti-blogger's prefer?

As usual, you miss the entire point. There aren't "anti-bloggers" here...but the anonymous post is the best way to foster open and honest communication. This way, we stay focused on discussing the issue, and you are not able to resort to personal attacks. And the Village can't come after us, either, if we happen to agree with you on some things.

What do YOU have against anonymous posts? Alex is for them in his blog; why can't you openly and honestly discuss an issue with an anonymous poster? Facts are facts; can't you have an honest discussion without knowing who is on the other side of the issue?

Oh yeah, it must be because you don't resort to facts when you can attack the messenger.

Get over yourself and stick to the issues.

This blog should be called "Anti-Villaging in the Prairie" because it apparently exisits for the purpose of doing nothing but bashing city hall. Which may or may not be deserved but geeez.

I can tell by reading what you have written here that you are a miserable person (whoever you are) with some kind of personal axe to grind and that makes it hard to asign you any credibility.

I found this blog by googling Pleasant Prairie and I have to tell you that I don't know if I want to live with people like you or not after reading this blog and one other.

Maybe I'll stay in Gurnee after all since everybody up there is obsessed with bashing everybody else.

Yes, stay where you are. Village doesn't welcome new people; especially if you try and run for office or are an Illannoying.

I like the anti-blogger idea. Like moths being drawn to a flame....

I find it interesting that someone asserts that village hall should not ever be blamed or criticized. Kind of reminds me of Nikita Khrushvhev banging his shoe on the podium (is there a theme here?).

They (the village-hallers )routinely criticize things and why should they have the unique right to do that?. Again, WE (the citizens and taxpayers) own them, not the other way around.

THEY have the BULLY PULPIT and use it all the time, while telling you to 'wrap it up' after you have had your 3 minutes of citizen comments.

Would a BLOG that supports the village make any sense? (and if so, start one -- perhaps the traffic there will be as good as here or at my blog: http://pleasantprairiewi.blogspot.com).

Come on you 'everything is great and go ahead and double my taxes' types. Do it, and stop complaining.

Now about Gurnee. Why is it that in the fire at Lakeview Corporate Park (Honeywell facility) that far-away Gurnee FD units showed up as part of MUTUAL AID, but not good neighbor Kenosha FD? Hmmm??

To the Gurnee-ite: I moved here from Gurnee. I know Gurnee, and you know what Pleasant Prairie is not Gurnee.

The previous anonymous blogger said it right. If you aren't local in many folks minds, you just don't deserve to be here, and hopefully your just visiting. Review Trustee Kumorkiewicz REEL comments on my BLOG not the SANITIZED version that the village calls "VERBATIM MINUTES". If you do come here, don't admit you are from Illinois.
