I don't understand why it shows this third entrance if it is not really there. Very strange.

That must be connecting with King's Cove, but it's definitely not there now. King's Cove has been done for about 2 years and it has one house currently being built. That would be the third entrance. So, it still makes phase 2 as one huge cul de sac.

But no safety issues according to Village even though only two entrances with 98 homes?

I still can't figure out why the aerial view shows a connection if it isn't really there? Toggle between aerial view and print mode if you really want to see the difference. Did someone doctor the Mapquest picture; and if so, how and why?

I said this at previous Board meeting: In addition, take a close look at another agenda item tonight for the Southshore conceptual plat for 80 homes. Tell us that you see no safety issues for this subdivision as there are only two entrances from Sheridan Road and no planned interconnectivity. What if 104th Street is blocked?
How would emergency services reach this site without having to first drive all the way to 91st
Street to the north or 116th Street to the south? The Village talks about being safety minded but
your actions on these subdivisions don't support your words.

Talk about wierd.
I checked out this area on Mapquest, and depending on what level of ZOOM you use, differing amounts of no, some, and all road exists.

It actually looks like there are 4 planned entrances. 2 of them are already being used, 2 connecting to other subdivisions (King's Cove to 116th st. and the westward to Southshore)

I saw that. I was being a little facetious but still think until full build, there is an access issue. The ordinance doesn't specify when the number of entrances are to be in place (nice out, huh?). Who knows how long it will be before full build.

This is on 5 PM Plan Commission meeting agenda tonight:

F. PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT to Section 395-60 D of the Village Land Division and Development Control Ordinance related to the temporary termination of public streets intended to be extended at a later date.
