Railroad crossing at Bain Station Road

Click here. We received letters on this a couple of days ago.

Closing the road seems quite drastic. It seems that lights, signs and gates should suffice.

Short memories around here. The reason the railroad wants to do this is to retaliate against the Village for making a stink to get the railroad to repair the crossing on Green Bay Road just south of Hwy 50. After 2 years of our requests to get this crossing fixed, the railroad filed this request just as they started the repairs.

So the big railroad fixes the crossing, but then tries to "punish" the Village by closing these crossings...which will have a material affect on finances and plans to develop land along Bain Station Road, not to mention public safety (cops and firefighters can't use it if it's closed).

Let's keep all this in perspective...and look at how much money the railroad and its PAC's contribute to state democratic candidates.

So Alex wants to go to Madison? Let's ask what he'd do about this.

So what does Alex have to do with this?
