Why not Pleasant Prairie?

Why not? Because dummies like you complain about taxes and TID's and governance and snowplowing and ... Who's going to move here when they see nattering nabobs of negativism?

Or the way they can expect to be treated if they disagree.

Abbott didn't disagree with Village on anything, that's why it only took a year and a half to get something finalized!

They didn't disagree with the village on anything???

Finalized -- what's finalized?

Tell us what's finalized, and when Abbott will be breaking ground?

I don't think they are looking for a manufacturing facility. Most Corporate offices in the Lakeview Industrial park were based off of manufacuring and/or production facilities. SABMiller/Coors aren't moving any breweries anytime soon. Golden, CO is state of the art, and Miller Valley is contracted out for the space SABMiller wasn't using.

Please do tell us Mr. Village People:
Where would you build a brewery, the size needed for Miller/Coors, in the village of Pleasant Prairie?
Please don't say near my subdivision.

According to the story, they are looking for a headquarters, not a brewing/manufacturing facility. Why not along the interstate? If you have room for 12,000 Abbott people, why not a few thousand Brewery employees?

Chicago would be a leading candidate for the headquarters of a joint venture between the Miller and Coors beer brands, say sources and analysts, though a decision appears far from being made.

Kabira Hatland, a spokeswoman for Molson Coors, said the joint venture has yet to decide which corporate functions would be located at headquarters and that a review of possible sites won't begin until the joint venture is approved by the U.S. Department of Justice. That action isn't expected until midyear.

I think Mike's idea is pretty cool.

As long as there's quick access to the airports, anything's possible.
