Village Wisely Keeps 6:30 PM Village Board Meeting Start Time

Although it was clear who wanted the change, it was also clear that no other Trustee supported. I guess some people just don't learn from past experience.

The Board was split on my suggestion of uniform starting times for commission meetings. I understand some being built with members of different municipalities, but the 6-8 others should ALL be starting at uniform times (I prefer 6pm, but whatever). Recreation, school, park, appeals, plan, board, etc can all start at a uniform time...regardless of duration or makeup. Their primary function, not to be condescending, is to serve the public.

You are such a troublemaker. No wonder you didn't get any Commission appointments. :-)

I was surprised that the author of the agenda item voted against it.

I did get onto KACVB (a cross municipality commission). Also one of the commissions I can see meeting at an alternate time due to membership. How's that for irony??? I am going to ask about the spot on Rec and future openings in School (as I see some members leaving after the scrutiny on the 15th).

I am also going to continue my quest to get all meeting times at 6:30 (as that is the time for Board). I think even plan can start then. They could dispense with all the bs chit chat and get to brass tacks and get in and out. It would cut down on the soap box speeches! JMO

Mike,

Interesting article about a county wide 911 dispatch center.

I wouldn't go there after the Village is spending money slated for new facilities to remodel an old pne.

That is why the article is interesting. Seems the county pictures Somers and PP as cash cows...similar to KUSD.

I wonder when they hold each muni hostage over this friggin issue? or similar ones....makes you think.

So if PP is already improving their facility, why don't they offer the PP site and expand instead of building a whole new building? Wouldn't that make more sense? Politics aside of course.

I think it's solely based on what was in my email. Haven't spoken to any of the trustees yet. That said, I can't see Serpe, Yuhas, Kumorkiewicz, or Steinbrink in favor of this. I am not sure about Allen, he's gone against the grain sometimes...but this would be nonsensical.

He, it's in the County and why can't County pay PP for services? Works both ways doesn't it?
